John M's Story
I graduated from NLU in Construction. I made a living as a Project Mgr, Construction Mgr, Manager of Construction, Project Engineer and similar job titles. I have built paper mills, chemical plants, walked on the bottom of the Mississippi River, as well as a number of design/build projects. Additionally I was involved with one of the first Super Fund EPA Cleanup's in Burnside, LA. as well as the first EPA specific project in LA. I have been a business owner of size, and I presently own a consulting firm for Contractors. I am a member of the Industry Advisory Council at ULM for the SOCM. It brings great delight to me be able to "give back", mentoring young students.
I spent a little while in North Little Rock, AK, then about 10-12 years in Baton Rouge, LA. From there I came to Atlanta where I presently reside.

ger years I coached serious youth soccer and many of my players were very successful with college scholarships and a couple made it to the MLS. I enjoy that many of my players still keep in touch. It brings great satisfaction to get wedding and birth announcements from "my boys"
.
I have been married to a beautiful lady from Ouachita High School, recently retired. She was and is a respected LCSW from NLU.. We have been married for 50 years (1975-2022)and have two boys. They have blessed us with three granddaughters and two boys.
As we find our way to the end of our careers we slow down and often think of the past and those that gave us so many memories. Bastrop, growing up there, being from there, guided my life. For that I have been, and I will always be grateful.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to share memories.
